Guillermo De La Fuente, 91 years old, passed away peacefully on September 11th. Loving husband of the late Francisca nee Escalante. Beloved, devoted and proud father to Sylvia (William) Lill), Ruth, Alicia and William (Janet). Loving grandpa to William, Joseph (Alison), Steven, Priscilla, James (Erica), Andrew, Tristan, Thomas, Sydney and Avery. Great Grandpa to Olivia, Jude and Elaine. Uncle and Godfather to many nieces and nephews.
He was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and The Bulls. Enjoyed watching boxing and WrestleMania. He enjoyed listening to music and watching TV.
He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness and ability to make everyone feel at home. His GREATEST enjoyment was being surrounded by his family, which always brought a smile to his face. He was an extraordinary man, great husband, and amazing father and a true hero who be deeply missed.
Visitation Thursday 3-8 PM at Gibbons Family Funeral Home, 5917 W. Irving Park Rd (1/2 Block East of Austin). Family & Friends will gather Friday for visitation 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM at St. Matthias Church, 2310 W Ainslie St, Chicago. Interment St Adalbert Cemetery.
