Domingo “Mingo” Pacheco

In loving memory of Domingo (Mingo) Pacheco

July 15, 1931-September 4, 2025

With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Domingo “Mingo” Pacheco, who departed this world on September 4, 2025, at the age of 94. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on July 15, 1931, Mingo lived a life rich in love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Mingo was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Juan Pacheco and Confesora Vera, as well as his dear sister, Hilda. Their memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He was the beloved husband of late Carmen Daisy Pacheco, with whom he shared 64 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving home, raising five children: Carmen, Daniel (Josie), Norma (Tito), Orlando and Edwin (Ella). His legacy continues through his many grandchildren: Julianna (Collins), Lauren (Nick), Heidi, Daniel Jr. (Melissa), Vanessa (Paul), Carlos (Vanessa), Jacqueline (Porfirio), Gloria, Cassandra, Matthew, Lina (Yadira), Giovanni and Michael-along with 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him endless joy.

Mingo worked for 30 years at SKIL Power Tools Corp., where he was respected for his work ethic and steady presence. But it was outside of work that his spirit truly shined. He was a man who loved the outdoors-especially camping trips to Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin and fishing-and he cherished traveling across the country with Daisy by his side, always seeking out waterfalls just to see her smile.

At the heart of his life was family and tradition. Every Christmas, he and Daisy brought their Puerto Rican heritage to life-she lovingly prepared pasteles, while he made his famous coquito, always eager to share it with family and friends. He also loved playing dominoes with his grandchildren, often turning ordinary afternoons into moments filled with laughter, stories and friendly competition.

Mingo was known for his warmth, generosity, and quiet strength. He was a man who loved deeply and gave freely, and his presence made those around him feel safe and cherished. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, connection and cultural pride.

The family encourages you to honor Mingo by sharing a memory, raising a glass of coquito in his name, or gathering with loved ones for a game of dominoes-just the way he would’ve liked.

Mingo will be missed beyond measure, but his love and legacy will live on in all of us.

Domingo, I met you and Daisy many years ago when your daughter Carmen and I became very good friends. Thank you for sharing her with me all these years.

I will always remember your great smile and positive outlook on life. Eddie and I will carry your legacy forward in our hearts forever.
