Robert Francis Whetter; preceded in death by his parents Bernice and Robert J. and his wife Lorna; beloved brother of Albert (Jean) and Elizabeth; survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; He was an avid Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks fan. He made friends easily and was well known on the CTA and RTA. Batman and the oldies TV shows and music were his passion. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Bob was a long time member of Eden UCC in Chicago. He was always happy to see his fellow Christians at services and enjoyed the fellowship at the church. He will be missed at Eden.
I knew Bobby as a rangy youth fifty years ago, so it was momentarily disconcerting to see the recent photo of him, in which he bears a resemblance to my late beloved Uncle Fred. But on reflection it is not surprising at all to see Bob, with his sweet temperament and kind spirit, looking happy and avuncular as a mature man. Requiescat in pace. I offer my condolences to his family. I am glad to have been his friend.
