Edward Schoewe, 58; beloved son of Dolores nee Burke and the late Rudy C.; loving brother of Mary Faulhaber, Rudy F., James, Tom, Karen Keeble, Richard, Annette Moore, Lisa Garcia and the late John and Donna; godfather of Eric Schoewe, Michell Sicilia and Emily Garcia; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was a Great friend to many! Ed died suddenly of a heart attack and will be Greatly missed. Ed was a Graduate of Our Lady of Victory and Gordon Tech high school. Ed worked at Active Electric Co. and in the electric field for many years. Ed was an active member of OLV Holy Name Society Coached Youth Basketball and was the proud Coach of the Foul Balls Softball team. Ed was a Long Time DePaul Basketball season ticket holder. Visitation Tuesday 3-8 PM at Gibbons Family Funeral Home 5917 W. Irving Park Rd. (1/2 Block East of Austin) and Wednesday 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church 5212 W. Agitate. Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery. I grew up with Ed, he was 1 day older than me, my best friend when I lived across the street. I will never forget the newspaper runs on some weekends with Ed & his brothers ..then go to the Golden Nugget. (lol) Best of times Crying…

  14. Dear Ed will be missed. His kindness towards me and his inclusion of me in our group lunches, his infamous block parties, and his manning the grill for Active functions always careful to make mine & Dorothy’s burgers just right, his including me in the group lottery run for tickets we never won anything on. Just being considered a friend was a joy. He was a true gentleman and considerate co-worker and friend. May Ed have eternal peace and know his time on this earth was valuable to many. My deepest condolences to the Schoewe family.
