Maureen O’Kane, 76; native of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo, Ireland; beloved wife of James; loving mother of James (Mary), Thomas (Kathy), Patrick (Trina) and Brian (Julie); cherished grandmother of Megan, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Thomas (Tyler), Jimmy, Jackie, Colleen, Devlin, Billy, Grace and Brian Og; dear sister of Nancy (the late Eddie) Mannix, Joe (Barb) Heneghan, and the late Michael (Patti) Heneghan; fond cousin, aunt and friend to many. Visitation Thursday 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 7240 W. 57th St., Summit until time of  Mass 11:30 AM. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Priests of the Sacred Hearts.

  2. Jim, Jimmy, Tommy, Pat, Brian and all of the Heneghan’s & O’Kane’s I’m so sorry for your loss. Maureen was one of a kind and has been wonderful to my family through the years and I loved our chats over the phone during COVID. She loved all of you and everyone she got to know through family and friends. My dad would always greet her by saying “Hi Maureen the Greatest”, we laughed just a few months ago when we last spoke as I answered the phone like my dad. She is surely already celebrated with all of her Mayo family and friends above. God Bless you all during this most difficult time.
