Joseph Hannemann

Joseph Roland Hannemann, beloved husband of the late Noreen (nee Keegan), devoted father of the late Pamela Lee and J. Brian, dear brother of the late Alvin, Arthur, Lorraine Knox and Dorothy Kettel.  Cherished brother-in-law of Thomas Keegan and uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joseph and his family moved from a farm in Skokie, IL to Chicago in 1948.  He attended Steinmetz High School, where he met his sweetheart, Noreen.  They moved to Charlottesville, VA, where they lived for over 50 years.  Joseph was very involved in several service organizations, including the Albemarle Ostomy Association, the American Cancer Society and the Charlottesville Host Lions Club, where he served in several roles, including District Governor.  He was also an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Joe and Noreen have been missed for several years already due to their being infirmed for awhile now.
The two of them were great friends and taught me how to be a Lion.
Rest well, it is greatly deserved. Lion Phil Eaton Crozet, Va.
