Joseph M. Barton

Joseph M. Barton, 81, beloved father of Julie (Anthony) Grech; loving grandfather of DeAnna and Olivia Grech; dear brother to Mary Ann (the late Bob) Wojtalik, Kenny, Jean Ann (Jim) Roth, and the late Yvonne Barton; cherished uncle of 9 nieces and nephews; and great uncle of many.

Joe was a graduate of Lane Tech High School. He proudly served in the US Army from 1963-1965. He worked as an Offset Lithographer at Commerce Clearing House (CCH) for 38 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing softball and bowling and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and White Sox. He will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him.

Family & friends will gather for Visitation Monday, Oct 24th from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Pascal Church, 3935 N Melvina Ave., Chicago (Irving Park & Melvina). Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Spectrum Health Hospice.  Arrangements entrusted to Gibbons Family Funeral Home.
