Patrick Anthony Brosnan, age 80, U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Native of Knockbrack, Knocknagoshel, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Devoted son of the late Jack “Flurry” and Mary Kate (nee Mangan) Brosnan.

Loving brother of the late Florence, Hannah Mai (Keith) Webster, Michael, John “Jack” (the late Johanna Maria) and Christy Brosnan (Kathleen).

Patrick will be sadly missed by his nieces/nephews: Catherine Mary, Patrick, Aiden, Giles, John, Hannah, Thomas, Mary, Gerard, Patrick, Maria, John, Timmy, Mikey, Patrick, Brendan, Noel, Mary, Catríona and their spouses, their children and grandchildren, as well as, other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Proud former member of Union Local 399 Operating Engineers, Local 7 Firemen and Oilers, former elevated train motorman and conductor with CTA. May God have mercy on him and rest his gentle soul in peace.

Visitation Friday, April 28, 2023, 10 am at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, 8033 W. Addison, Chicago; followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 am.

Interment at a later date: Knockane Cemetery, Knocknagoshel, County Kerry, Ireland.

Funeral arrangements made by Gibbons Funeral Home.

  1. So very sorry for your loss! Pat shared many holidays and dinners with us! He loved all the children and the pets! I met him at Northeastern. He came to our wedding. He will be missed! 🙏🍀🙏

  3. Pat Brosnan: I worked at Northeastern 1990 to 2015. I remember Pat working in the PE Bldg. I am a bugler for ” Bugles Across America” doing tribute and Honors for Veterans. I would be Honored to play TAPS for Patrick. Jack Chavez , Electrician at Northestern Ill University.
