Anne DeCremer Wickert, 56 of Chicago, passed on Sunday, August 6. Her memorial service will be Saturday, August 19 from 11 – 3 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation. Anne was born on November 16, 1960, in Peoria, Illinois, daughter of James and Barbara DeCremer Surviving are her sons Mark Wickert Jr, Round Rock, Texas and Dane Hathaway, Darian, sister Susan (Mike) Grimm, Benton, Kentucky and brother Steve (Jody) DeCremer, Normal. Loving aunt to Gibson, Coleman, Brody, Michael and Kimberly, great aunt to Easton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Anne was a graduate of Peoria Central High School, and earned both a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Bradley University. She was a speech pathologist for most of her adult life, working to promote a better quality of life for children and adults with communication disorders. Anne donated her body to science to help support the training of physicians and surgeons and to assist with the development of new medical products, procedures and treatments. Even in death, she wanted to help to advance medicine for everyone.
